Except of course that all the symptoms are gone. As a matter of fact my neck has moved from a pain level of 6 pre-surgical to maybe a 1 now. I did, however, have quite a time ending my Methadone dependency but did it.

Before leaving for India I read many testimonials. Even the most positive ones are not as dramatic as my recovery. I am doing everything I want (using common sense of course). I am working out to strengthen my body and have even been running.

I feel like the poster person for medical tourism to India. Needless to say none of this would have been possible without you. I can't express my deep appreciation for you. You took me, a stranger, into your hands and gave me the greatest gift. Thank you.

Since my return I have spoken to hundreds of people regarding my 100% satisfaction with you, your hospital, staff and the people I met. It is surprising to me how people react. Most can't believe I would do something so dramatic.

It bothers me greatly that more people will not consider this option. I wish there was something more I could do to help educate them. I believe my chance has not yet arrived. I plan on remaining vigilant.

The whole team of Doctors are very professional in their approach and when put forward a question, were able to answer it now than satisfactorily. It is very important especially for the patient if he were to place his life in the Doctor's hand, that the doctor or Doctor she / she is dealing with has the absolute confidence, professionalism and knowledge of the doctor concerned. This has been definitely confirmed by the doctors at Max Super Speciality hospital with their high level of understanding and intelligence. The staff at Max Super Speciality Hospital from when I came out from ICU till the day I departed the observation unit, were extremely helpful, understanding and most importantly kept my spirit up, made me smile on the middle of all my pain. They actually went out of their way to ensure that I was very well looked after and I can tell you with absolute certainty that I were to score them, 100% will be insufficient my personal thanks to all the staff at surgical ICU. The staff at the MSSH from the nurses to the cleaners love absolutely demonstrated their ability to perform professionally. They were very kind, courteous and polite in their manner and very helpful to your personal needs. I will say from personal experience that I have yet to come across a Hospital as good as MSSH.

I would also like to thank Ms Akrkthi (physiotherapist) for her patience and excellent guidance, drive knowledge. I have been making a very slow progress but whether less a sure and steady recovery.

Lastly special thanks to the team of the International patients division for the brilliant and outstanding coordination in getting me all the reservation, appointments and making sure that I was being cared for all the time ( Hari, Melanie, Anjali and Abhay)

I am compelled to join your team and return this gift. I received this gift from the neurosurgical team at Max Super Specialty Hospital and especially Dr. Bipin S. Walia. You might think this is all that matters but you would be mistaken. Let me explain. When the Doctors and health system of the U.S. failed me, like they fail so many, I stumbled upon Max Super Specialty Hospital. The keyword here is `stumbled'. Little to nothing of Medical Tourism is getting through to the American people. Even though health care in the U.S. is too expensive and people are more desperate than ever the obvious answer, the health system of India, is still not a choice America is willing to take.

The American people remain skeptical, arrogant, and frightened. American's are skeptical of anything too good to be true. We are all too familiar with gimmicks, scams, and lies. "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" and more often we find this to be the case. In America's opinion we have the most advanced technologies. Of course, no country could possibly contain smarter people than America. Certainly trustworthy, gifted or more caring people can not be found outside the U.S.. To most Americans these beliefs are fact. Even before 911 we have been afraid to travel outside the safety of our own borders. Even though we know danger lurks anywhere.

Certainly we know it's safer to fly than other forms of transportation. One only has to watch the news to see that America itself is a very dangerous place. Still we convince ourselves it's more dangerous elsewhere. The point being even though India is an obvious excellent choice for health care, the most affordable choice, and a safe choice America is not so easily convinced.

America must be shown. Shown India is absolutely the best choice for health care. The media in America is a double edged sword. Although this sword has two edges they are not equal. If you do well you must do well a hundred times over or you're a fluke or simply lucky. On the other hand if you fail, if you fail only once the media will tell everyone.

They will broadcast with lightening speed and will never let us forget. If you are to compete in America and take your share of the trillions of dollars being spent each year on health care, you must think a bit more American. It's not enough to have the best Surgeons or the fairest prices. You must achieve and maintain total patient satisfaction if you are to overcome these obstacles. With no disrespect intended, my personal experience could have been improved in many areas although surgically successful.

"Why does my opinion matter?" Any other patient would have received treatment and returned home less than completely satisfied and communicated this to all. My eyes were opened wide. I saw opportunity, opportunity to remove obstacles, opportunity to overcome differences, opportunity to strengthen weaknesses, opportunity to spread the news and opportunity to benefit all.

I would be honored to have the opportunity to work with Max Super Specialty Hospital on International Patient Relations. I believe an American perspective, and more specifically, my American perspective will propel Max Super Specialty Hospital into the role as leader in International Patient Satisfaction.
