BIKE-O-THON : Motorbike rally for knee replacement patients on World Arthritis Day

Max Super Specialty Hospital (MSSH), Mohali organised ‘Ride to freedom’ bike-o-thon at Sukhna Lake on World Arthritis Day on October 10, 2015 where the Punjab and Harayana Governor, and UT Administrator, Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki was the chief guest. There were other dignitaries like artist, Savita Bhatti and Nirmal Kaur, wife of the flying sikh, Milkha singh. Senior citizens and the youth got together and danced to the pulsating music in the morning at 6:30am. Around two dozen knee replacement patients took part in a joyride motorbikes rally after the zumba session. Chief Guest Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki flagged off the Bike-a-thon. Dr Wadhwa explained about the significance of the bike-a-thon event for knee replacement patients and how quality of life has been demonstrated with it. Other speakers explained other various issues of women health. Event concludes with a free health check-up camp at the venue.
