The journey from Jabalpur Medical College to Max Institute
of Minimal Access and Metabolic Surgery has been a momentous one.
A Padma Shri from the President of India, a Bharat Jyoti award in 2006,
Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award for Excellence in the field of laparoscopic surgery, a Gem of India award, Arya award for most compassionate doctor, and many more such prestigious honours now
adorn Dr Chowbey's mantelpiece.

Dr Pradeep Chowbey pioneered Laparoscopic and Bariatric (Obesity) Surgeries in India. He featured in the Limca Book of Records in consecutive editions from 2000 - 2011, for having performed the largest series of laparoscopic biliary and bariatric surgeries which takes the count to over 50,500. Max Healthcare is proud of Dr. Chowbey who is Vice Chairman of Max Healthcare and Director of Institute of Minimal Access, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery but also a very popular People's Doctor.
