The team of specialists, at the Max Institute of Minimal Access, Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery brings with it an accumulated experience of over 48,000 laparoscopic and bariatric surgeries spanning over two decades. The team has been at the forefront to develop and expand the frontiers of Minimal access surgery in the country and beyond. Guidelines and protocols for the safe practice of Minimal access surgery were formulated by the team and released by His Excellency The President of India almost a decade ago.
The professional expertises in surgical services offered by our team have ensured that our results have always been at par and even better than other global center of excellence. Our patients have always been at the centre of our decision making, formulations and protocols. The health, safety and well being of our patients is what fires our passion and drives our work. Above all, we believe in building relationships with our patients and everyone that we work with. We truly believe that operating on fellow human beings is not a right but a privilege.
One of the foremost priorities of the Institute is teaching and training Surgeons in the art and safe practice of Minimal Access & Bariatric surgery. The team has produced a set of educational CD-Roms on all basic and advanced laparoscopic procedures for Surgeons negotiating the learning curve. The enormous experience in endoscopic hernia repair has been crystallized in the form of a text book. The academic calendar of all team members remains busy throughout the year with Faculty invitations to numerous international and national meetings. The team has to its credit several hundred publications, most of them in peer reviewer, indexed, international journals.
