Minimally-Invasive Anal Fistula Treatment (MAFT), is a new innovative endoscopic technique, for the surgical treatment of complex anal fistulas and their recurrences. Anal fistula, or fistula-in-ano, is a common anorectal problem in which an abnormal connection develops between the inner surface of the anal canal and the skin around the anal verge. Today, treating fistulas has become a minimally-invasive day-care procedure. This technique ensures early recovery with minimal pain and no damage to the anal sphincter. The technique is an outcome of rigorous research & development process and a significant innovation in the healthcare sector with great potential to benefit patients.
The Division of Minimally Invasive Proctology, Max Institute of Minimal Access, Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (MAMBS), is doing pioneering work in Minimally-Invasive Anal Fistula Treatment (MAFT). The Institute is now conducting a Master-Class in the MAFT technique. The Course includes didactic lectures on instrumentation, equipment, maintenance and technique. The duration of the course is two days. The Institute is committed to providing educational opportunities so you may continue to enhance your knowledge, abilities and skills.
