Our Programmes
  Egg sharing programme
In this programme healthy surplus eggs are stored to reduce egg wastage. It promotes altruism between patients. It is a practical and dignified option for two groups of infertile patients- one who needs eggs and does not have a donor due to exhaustion of their own supply of good eggs and the other who has eggs but cannot afford the high cost of ART treatment.
Donor oocyte (egg) programme for IVF/ICSI
Women who are unable to produce their own eggs or fail to produce eggs during IVF/ICSI due to poor egg quality can be helped by using a donor woman’s eggs. The donor may be a voluntary known or an unknown donor.
  Donor Embryo programme
A couple with severe male and female infertility, recurrent IVF or ICSI failures or genetic disease or chromosomal abnormality may opt for donor embryo to achieve conception wherein both egg and sperm are donated; or either egg or sperm is donated. This embryo may be frozen or fresh.
  Donor semen programme
Donor semen stored at Max semen bank may be used for men having no sperms in ejaculate or no semen or with failed testicular biopsy to achieve sperms or suffering from genetic abnormalities. Donor Insemination involves injecting donor semen into uterine cavity prior to egg rupture.
  Frozen Embryo Replacement
Embryos are frozen and stored at ultra low temperatures, when there are healthy surplus embryos or there is a risk of hyper stimulation syndrome. The replacement can be done in both natural and hormonal cycle, the latter being better. Frozen embryos can be used in subsequent cycle without need for ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval.
  Uterine surrogacy
Embryos are frozen and stored at ultra low temperatures, when there are healthy surplus embryos or there is a risk of hyper stimulation syndrome. The replacement can be done in both natural and hormonal cycle, the latter being better. Frozen embryos can be used in subsequent cycle without need for ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval.
  Cryopreservation in Malignancy
Cryopreservation is for patients who want to preserve their fertility, but are suffering from a malignancy requiring surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy. A long term storage facility up to 10 years is available at Max.
  Gonadal Cryopreservation

Testicular tissue is indicated in men undergoing orchidectomy. One testis which is healthy is used for sperm extraction for later use in ICSI.
Ovarian tissue is indicated in women undergoing oophorectomy for malignancy. Potential for baby follicles to mature to eggs under in vitro hormonal and culture milieu or ovarian tissue reimplantation is a realistic possibility.
  Gamete cryopreservation

Semen cryopreservation: Ideally before a treatment i.e. surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy; or even during ongoing treatment, multiple semen samples are frozen for long term storage. ART treatments are available post thawing for conception.
Oocyte cryopreservation: Advanced vitrification technique has made it possible for us at Max to freeze individual oocyte safely.
  Soft minimal stimulation protocols
Embryos are frozen and stored at ultra low temperatures, when there are healthy surplus embryos or there is a risk of hyper stimulation syndrome. The replacement can be done in both natural and hormonal cycle, the latter being better. Frozen embryos can be used in subsequent cycle without need for ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval.
  Foetal reduction programme
Embryos are frozen and stored at ultra low temperatures, when there are healthy surplus embryos or there is a risk of hyper stimulation syndrome. The replacement can be done in both natural and hormonal cycle, the latter being better. Frozen embryos can be used in subsequent cycle without need for ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval.
  Specialized ART services
Includes cryopreservation for couples with blood transmissible infectious diseases like HIV, Hepatitis B and C. Specialized semen preparation is done to minimize risk of transmission to either of the partners or to the potential foetus/embryo.
