BORN SMALLER THAN SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN

Clinical Directorate

A pre-term baby was born in Max Noida with Intrauterine Growth Restriction in NICU. This is a condition in which the baby is smaller than it should be which puts the child's life at risk and usually requires high level of care. To make the situation worse, the mother was unable to feed the baby due to certain complications.

Dr. Amit Gupta, the attending doctor sought help from other patients whose babies were admied in NICU, but was unsuccessful. Looking at the steadily worsening situation, Sister Limiya Sebestian stepped in and was forthcoming in providing help to feed the baby. In Dr. Gupta's own words, "This act was as important as blood donation in my NICU."

The parents of the baby were thankful to the entire aending team and especially Sister Sebestian. Her commitment and the entire team's dedication led to a lile baby geing a new lease of life. This is indeed an outstanding act of Sevabhav by Sister Limiya and we are proud to have her in the Max family.

Dr. Amit Gupta, Sister Limiya Sebestian
