A GENTLEMAN CAME RUNNING UP
To the triage at the Emergency of Max Panchsheel Park, he was shouting that his patient was not responding and that he couldn't pick her up alone.
Amongst those who immediately responded was the nursing team.
The team worked without wasting a single second. They rushed next door to her residence and also arranged for a wheelchair to carry the patient downstairs. They wheeled her into the triage and while taking her history, they realised that she was pregnant and due to her gestational diabetes, she was on insulin.
Gasping for breath, the team restored the vitals of the expecting mother. Jumping into action immediately and extending support to a patient led to saving not just one, but two lives.
