A blackhead is defined as a yellow or blackish bump or plug on the skin, and is generally found on the face or the back. Blackheads are caused by excess oil that accumulates in the sebaceous gland’s duct.

Signs and Symptoms

Common warning signs that indicate the need for treatment include:
