B.Sc Radiotherapy Technology
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Radiotherapy Technology is an undergraduate degree program that focuses on the cancer treatment through the use of advanced technology and procedures.
During the program, students learn about various aspects of radiotherapy technology, including Anatomy and Physiology of Human Body Systems, principles of radiotherapy, medical physics, medical imaging techniques, radiation safety and protection, along with patient care. They also gain hands-on experience in using therapeutic equipment such as linear accelerator and brachytherapy machines, CT simulator.
Upon completion of the program, graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to work as radiotherapy technologists in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings. They work alongside medical physicist, radiation oncologist, radiological safety officer, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to perform procedures such as treatment, CT simulation patient counselling and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Duration: 3 years
Eligibility: 12th pass with PCB/PCM (Candidates who are awaiting their class 12th results can also apply)
Age Limit: The candidate must have attained the age of 17 years in the year of admission.
