Elite Arthroplasty Congress

The First Elite Arthroplasty Congress 2015 was organized by Max Elite Institute of Orthopedics and Joint Replacement on 14th and 15th November at Hotel JW Marriot here. Designer surgeons from across Globe attended to showcase state of art technology in hip & knee replacement. The theme of the Congress, attended by 300 Orthopedics surgeons from across India and leading Arthroplasty surgeons from across the world, was ‘Human care built on Technology’. Dr. Manuj Wadhwa, Director and Head, Max Elite Institute of Orthopedics and Joint Replacement, Mohali and also the Course Director of the Congress, said, “Max Elite Institute of Orthopedics and Joint Replacement has distinguished itself over the years as a Centre of Excellence in Orthopedics and Joint Replacement in the region. Max Elite Institute has always been deeply involved with the evolution of advancements in the field of Joint replacement as well as launch of cutting edge technology that hugely benefits clinical outcomes. Continuing with this inheritance, we have brought together stalwarts from across the globe, a galaxy of the sharpest minds, to deliberate, discuss and debate over various issues in the field of Arthroplasty. The Congress was a launch platform of latest technology in hip & knee replacement for the first time in India where eminent names from field of Joint replacement from across India will also be joined in. Congress will focussed on latest bio-material that can improve longevity of hip & knee replacement. First time in India launches also showcased in Congress: Knee, i.e. Journey II & Hip i.e. SMF Stem. While Journey II will be a long lasting knee implant, it’s a physiologically matching implant, an active knee solution. Hip SMF Stem launch will be revolutionary as it involves less bone loss and early rehabilitation of the patient. Dr Alfred Tria, who is a big name in the field of Arthroplasty was also be present at the Congress. He is the International Program Director for International Congress for Joint Reconstruction (ICJR). Designer surgeons Dr. Francesco Falez (Italy) & Dr. Wolfgang Klauser and Dr Sabine Schmith (Germany) were there to debate on newer implant designs.
