Intra Cranial Pressure Monitoring
Intracranial pressure monitoring uses a device, placed inside the head. The monitor senses the pressure inside the skull and sends measurements to a recording device. It is mainly used to detect if there is any brain swelling or stroke. If brain swelling goes undetected then the brain is deprived of oxygen rich blood which leads to starvation and swelling of the brain.
