This video shows an amazing story of Sahib, who overcame osteosarcoma through total femur replacement treatment at Max Healthcare, Vaishali. Sahib, a 14-year-old boy injured his thigh bone while playing at his school in Baghdad. When he was taken to the hospital, the doctors told that he had a fractured thigh bone, however, after biopsy doctors claimed that he was suffering from Osteosarcoma – an aggressive bone cancer, which caused the fracture. Sahib's parents went to many doctors in their country, however, each and every doctor recommended amputation of his leg as a treatment for Osteosarcoma. Hopeless, they turned to Max Healthcare as a last resort to save their son's future.
Sahib's parents took him to India at Max Healthcare, Vaishali where Dr Verma took charge of his case. The case was quite serious and after consulting the bone cancer & tumour board of experts, Dr Verma decided to do a limb salvage surgery with Total femur bone removal. Sahib's limb salvage surgery was highly successful and Sahib started walking within 6 months of surgery. Today, Sahib's parents are very happy with the efforts of Max Healthcare, and the progress in the performance of their son's leg. Max Healthcare helped Sahib and his family a new life to live & enjoy.
