After an year of marriage, we started planning for a baby. Little did we know that the journey will be a long one and will take a toll on us. After an year of trying we thought we should get our tests done. The initial tests with the gynaecologist were all fine. Then the gynae suggested to take AMH test. To our utter shock the reports were bad.
The doctor then suggested to go for ovulation induction with oral fertility drugs. After 2 failed cycles she asked us not to waste any more time and go to a fertility specialist. We then met Dr Bhavna. I still remember our first meeting which was an hour long. She studied all the reports and suggested to go for IUI. After 2 failed IUI cycles we were shattered, but she kept telling me that one day you will get pregnant for sure. Due to low AMH, she then suggested for IVF cycle.
It was a big shock and took us a while to get prepared for this. Then in November my eggs were retrieved. But we still had to wait to hear the good news. She decided to drop 3 cycles before transferring the eggs due to progesterone issue.
She wanted results and not just completion of treatment. After the egg transfer, when the D-day arrived to check the results she was equally excited and kept asking me to check for pregnancy. It was a successful transfer in the first IVF attempt and the result was positive.
All thanks to Dr Bhavna and team. Her dedication and concern for each patient is exemplary. Today i have completed 28 weeks of pregnancy and even now she keeps asking me about my health and is in touch with my gynae. The way she has pampered and motivated us and handled our doubts I don’t think any doctor will ever be able take so much pain for her patients.
Thank you Dr Bhavna. We are indebted to you for life.
