Pancreatic Cancer is one of the most challenging cancers to treat and has one of the highest mortality rates among cancer patients. Mr. Umashankar's ordeal began when he fell during his morning walk due to dizziness. His friends took him to Max Hospital Saket where doctors took his blood test. Through the blood test, it became clear that he had very low haemoglobin which was caused by pancreatic cancer. Umashankar and his wife were worried, however, somehow they decided to go forward with the treatment. Dr. Dinesh Singhal at Max Hospital Saket took charge of the case and assured Mr. Umashankar that they would try their best to ensure his recovery and quality of life. The operation was technically different from other pancreatic cancer cases and took more than 8 hours. Today Umashankar is fit and gives all the credits for his happy life to Max Hospital Saket.
