About Dr. Pradeep Chowbey
Dr. Pradeep Chowbey belongs to the cadre of the pioneer laparoscopic surgeons in India. One of the first to perform Laparoscopic cholecystectomy in North India, he has graphed his career with singular determination to develop, evaluate and propagate Minimal Access, Metabolic & Barbaric Surgery in India. The advent of Laparoscopic surgery with his hands became a point in India's medical history.
Dr. Chowbey established the Minimal Access and Bariatric Surgery Center, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi in 1996, which was the first of its kind in the Asian subcontinent. His Institute at Max Healthcare was the First Centre to receive the Center of excellence accreditations in India for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery, Hernia surgery by Surgical Review Corporation, USA (2011-2014). The center is also recognized and acknowledged as a Global Centre of Excellence in the field of Endosurgery.

- First to perform MAFT (Minimally Invasive Fistula Technology) in Asia Pacific Regio
- Devised a unique method of performing Endoscopic Hernia Repair (TEP) that has been well accepted globally.
- Devised a novel endoscopic approach for surgery in the neck.
- Trained more than 20,000 surgeons from around the world in minimally invasive surgeries
