Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
Medical laboratory technology is the branch of medical science responsible for performing laboratory investigations relating to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease through the use of clinical laboratory tests. The goal of this course is to provide students technical skills to examine and analyze different body fluids, tissues, blood typing, microorganisms, chemical analyses, cell counts etc. of the human body, which play an important role in collecting the information needed for treating most pathology cases by sampling testing, analyzing and reporting such investigations.
Program Highlights
- Duration: 2 years
- Eligibility: Any student who has passed class 12th (PCB/PCM) with 40% or any other stream with 50% marks.
- Age Limit: The student must be of 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission, and should not be more than 25 years. Age relaxation of5 years for ST/SC candidate and 3 years for OBC candidate is applicable.
