Travelling from Iraq, Israa had Cranio Frontonasal Dysplasia in which the face suffers a symmetrical defect in the midline, the nose is demarcated in two halves, and eye sockets are wide apart. Her case was examined by Dr. Sunil Choudhary, Principal Director & Chief, Plastic Surgery, and Dr. Prakash Singh (https://bit.ly/3oVWVTE), Director & Unit Head, Neurosurgery, who determined the surgery plan following a 3D CT Scan of the face. The surgery spanned over 7-8 hours and was performed with the coordination of the neuro-anesthesia team. The facial structure could be corrected following the surgery, and the patient resumed her normal life within two days.
