Diksha Thakur’s baby, post-delivery, had several complications. It included bleeding from the mouth, bloated lungs, and a ruptured vein. The series of complications made the family extremely anxious and apprehensive about the situation. She was under the supervision of Dr. Rohit Srivastava, Senior Consultant, Paediatrics, who administered Vitamin K and advised Fresh Frozen Plasma to control the bleeding. The baby was put on a CPAP machine and ventilator. Later, the baby was given surfactant. Eventually, the newborn’s health was stabilized. His conditions returned to absolute normalcy. Today, both the mother and the child are healthy and doing well.
