Mr. Rodney Issac Lambert, visiting from West Africa, was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease at an advanced stage. He had fluid accumulation in his body. Although he was on dialysis in his country, he needed an immediate transplant. At this juncture, he consulted Dr. Anant Kumar, Sr. Consultant, Urology, who confirmed the need for Kidney Transplant. Even though the surgery was successful, Mr. Lambert developed Renal Vein Thrombosis post-surgery. On the fourth day, Mr. Lambert was re-operated to save the kidney. Irrespective of the complications, the patient had a speedy recovery and his kidney was functional. He flew back home completely fit and with a healthy kidney.
