Priyanka Gautam was diagnosed with a fibroid. It caused her heavy bleeding during menstruation and pain in the abdomen. Her case was recommended to Dr. Sowjanya Aggarwal, Associate Director, Infertility & IVF, Obs & Gynae, who further diagnosed her and recommended laparoscopic myomectomy to remove the fibroid using laparoscopy. She conceived naturally following the surgery. Post-conception and premature delivery of the baby in the hospital, the infant was admitted to NICU due to pre-term delivery complications. Dr. N K Jha, Consultant, Paed, treated the baby and smoothened the NICU process for normal and healthy growth of the baby. Within a span of 7 weeks, the baby was stabilised and discharged.
