Mr. Narendra Sapra was diagnosed with oral cancer, which required surgeries in the past. Irrespective of his previous surgeries, his cancer resurfaced in another part of the oral cavity. Regardless, the patient’s willpower and spirit could not be daunted, and he agreed to another phase of cancer treatment. His case was jointly evaluated by Dr. Harit Chaturvedi, Chairman, Max Institute of Cancer Care and Dr. Rohit Nayyar (https://bit.ly/3tRibLF), Director- Head & Neck Oncology, Surgical Oncology, who performed jaw reconstruction surgery to remove the mandible and completely reconstruct the inner lining of the mouth. The patient was then provided with two phases of radiation. Post-treatment, it has been two years, and Mr. Sapra has now recovered completely and resumed his normal life with optimism and hope.
