Mr. Saha, 79-year-old gentleman, was suffering from intermittent abdominal pain. He was diagnosed with an inoperable tumour that had attached itself to the main blood vessel of his liver and intestine, which are close to the pancreas. He consulted Dr. Nikhil Agrawal, Director, Gastrointestinal Oncology, Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket. Mr. Saha was treated with Chemotherapy and then underwent a major surgery called subtotal pancreatectomy by Dr. Nikhil Agrawal. \
In this surgery, the cancer was carefully separated from the blood vessels and removed along with a portion of the pancreas. Mr. Saha responded well to the treatment and made a full recovery. Today, Mr. Saha is completely cancer free.
